Colours - Sidleines Between the Sides

The second effort from “Colours” is a more thought out and has a definable structure to it. You are taken on an excursion of atmospheric delights, it has the feel of a haunted forest and th guitar hook gives the feel that anything can be lurking at those sidelines. It begins with quite a dark heavy guitar laden hook with melodic drawl of Lead Singer, Ali Shiels that forgoes the euphonious close, in which we are treated to various breaks and intrumentals, highlighting the individual independant talents of these musicians. There is a distinct second part to this song which begins with a bass solo and this gains power with added guitar and ends on a sudden note with (Shiels) yelping “He can’t let go” . This is a much better and tighter effort from Colours with more attention paid to the tune and a clear more tuneful structure.
